PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Hello,
Dear Al Hasad School Community,
On behalf of the entire Al Hasad School staff, I welcome you to the 2021 - 2022 academic year!
My name is Ms. Tahira Terkman. I am thrilled to be the founding Al Hasad School Principal (AHS). This is my first year at AHS and there is much to do; however, I know that we will achieve our goals as a team of parents, students and teachers to make AHS an even more amazing establishment than it already is. I am originally from the United States of America, but I have called Oman home for eight years. I love Oman and have enjoyed all of my time experiencing Omani culture and traditions.

I have both teaching and leadership experience all over the world, including the United States, Libya and Turkey. In total, I have been in the field of education for 16 years. I am passionate about education, best teaching practice and engaging students in their learning. My main focus will always be on the students and I continually keep the students in mind with all decision making. I cannot wait to see how our students progress this year with the amazing AHS team.

Al Hasad School is privileged to have a caring community of students, parents, teachers, and staff who work together as a family to help our learners realize success. The foundation to success starts with close ties and open communication between school and home. Whatever we do as teachers to guide, shape, motivate, and educate children can only supplement the loving commitment, interest, and instruction you provide at home.
This school year promises to be the best first year ever, as we continuously strive to improve the academic, social and emotional growth of each one of our students at Al Hasad School. In collaboration with parents and community members we will prepare students for the challenges of being a productive citizen.
